Together with her partner, the 54-year-old was in Thurn, in the Pappernitze district, with her two horses. Around 100 meters above the Zettersfelststraße toll booth, she let her horse run free ahead. Her partner led the second. Just above the toll booth, her horse suddenly became restless and bolted. “The woman tried to bring the horse under control, but she was unable to,” the police said. The rider wanted to get off the horse. However, she fell and was badly injured. She was flown to the state hospital in Klagenfurt by rescue helicopter.
