Fnac Darty confirms that it has weathered the pandemic brilliantly with a record annual balance sheet and the signing of a major partnership with Google.

The Fnac Darty group experienced a frenzied February 23 after the publication of its annual financial results, which were very good. In addition, the company formalized a partnership with the Cloud branch of Google aimed at accelerating its digital transformation, and noted the rise in capital to the tune of 5% by the famous Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky.

All is well for Fnac Darty, which has posted record annual turnover!

Calling Fnac Darty 2021 a “success” would in no way amount to exaggerating. The group saw its turnover increase by 7.4% over one year, to more than 8 billion euros. The company indicates that this revenue growth is based on a ” solid in-store sales momentum “, with an increase in the average basket and a virtual return to normal in physics. In particular, she perfectly negotiated the major commercial meetings at the end of the year.

Online, everything is also going well for Fnac Darty, which attracted 5 million new active web customers. E-commerce represents 26% of group sales. The share of online sales is also up 7 points on the business side, or 7 points more than before the start of the health crisis.

And this good news has consequences for the group’s consolidated net profit: 160 million euros in 2021, i.e…. 159 million euros more than in 2020. As for its long-term debt, it is rather stable over one year, going from 902 million euros in 2020 to 932 million euros in 2021. The group confirmed the payment of a bonus of 400 euros to each of its employees with a gross salary of less than 35,000 euros. It would concern 19,000 employees and will be paid in March, announces Fnac Darty.

The good health of the group in any case motivates Daniel Kretinsky to invest more in France, the Czech billionaire, already present in the capital of TF1, Casino and very present in the press and the media, having announced to increase the capital of Fnac Darty to the tune of 5.04%.
