The French publisher Focus Entertainment start your week well by announcing the takeover of a fellow development studio, Leikir Studio. The Parisian team of around twenty people released last year Rogue Lords and is currently working on Metal Slug Tactics for SNK.
With the acquisition of Leikir Studio, Focus Entertainment adds to its catalog a know-how in terms of stylized artistic directionwhether in 3D, 2D or pixel art. Christophe Nobileau, President of Focus Entertainmentsays:

We are constantly looking for new talent capable of growing and supporting the ambitions of our Group, and Leikir Studio, headed by Aurélien Loos, is a choice acquisition to achieve this objective.

Focus Entertainment also welcomes four new people to its group:
- Cyril Labordrie as Technical Director after more than 25 years of experience in the video game industry in France, North America and Asia. He will bring his expertise in the development of multi-platform games as well as in R&D acquired from major players such as Virtuos, gumi inc, etc.
- Julien Ramette as Director of Business Development and will bring all his business, marketing and market knowledge acquired over the years with publishers such as Bandai Namco, Ubisoft and Wargaming.
- Geoffrey Starkloff as Director of Management Control. He will bring his financial expertise acquired at General Electric, as well as his experience acquired at PwC, on performance and transformation aspects.
- Stephane Kaufmann as Data Manager, and will bring all his experience in User Research, Analytics and his knowledge of live titles after several years at Ubisoft.
Metal Slug Tactics will be released as a reminder in 2022, and you can already find Rogue Lords at €22.49 on GOG.com.
