The French champions won on goals scored by Lionel Messi in the 32nd minute and Arnaud Kalimuendo in the 58th minute. Kawasaki pulled one back through Kazuya Yamamura in the 84th minute.
Two other matches are scheduled for this pre-season tour of Japan, Saturday against Urawa Red Diamonds in Saitama and July 25 against Gamba Osaka in Osaka.
