SLRs have not said their last word and the EOS 250D aims to be a great gateway to starting photography without breaking the bank with a dedicated camera. With its small size and a new processor, it aims to satisfy beginners who want to progress in photography.
We can criticize it for its narrow optical sight, its autofocus with nine collimators in optical sight, the absence of automatic flash extraction or its very average video mode. But we must still recognize that this EOS 250D has good image quality and above all fast hybrid autofocus. Add to this the ergonomics and user-friendliness of the menus which make the EOS 250D an entry-level SLR perfectly designed for amateurs looking for a scalable product. Its autofocus places it in a better position than Nikon SLRs, but it remains to be seen whether the choice of an SLR is wise given the progress in hybrid cameras.
