Taylor Swift is also not left indifferent to the fate of the Chiefs fan who was shot – the superstar is donating $100,000 to the family.
Last Wednesday (February 14th) was supposed to be a day full of joy for Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan – but she paid with her life for taking part in a parade celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl triumph. An online fundraising campaign has now been set up for the family of the mother of two, who was fatally injured by shots fired into the crowd. Within a very short time, the stated fundraising goal of $75,000 was far exceeded – also thanks to the musician Taylor Swift (34).
The girlfriend of Chiefs star Travis Kelce (34) donated twice to the site within a few minutes, each donating $50,000. In total, over $180,000 has been raised. “I send my deepest sympathy and condolences in the face of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift,” the donations read. The US site “Variety” A spokesman for the singer has already confirmed that she was the real Swift.
22 other people injured
According to US reports, Lopez-Galvan died at the scene of the tragedy. 22 other people were injured by gunfire, including her son Marc Lopez-Galvan, but the attack did not cost another life. According to the Variety report, police arrested two suspects last Thursday (February 15). The exact circumstances of the incident are currently the focus of the investigation. This is currently assumedthat an argument between two people triggered the shooting.
