For ecologist Alice Coffin, a victory for Marine Le Pen would sign “the killing of feminist activists”

Alice Coffin does not take half measures. The elected environmentalist from Paris said this Sunday that the election of Marine Le Pen at the Elysée would threaten “very directly with death” feminist or anti-racist activists.

“Let the voters have this in mind on April 24 (second round of the presidential election)”, she warned, facing our colleagues from Liberation. “The RN destroys any possibility of emancipation for women”.

According to her, if “the extreme right wins” next Sunday, “it would very concretely mean the killing of feminist activists. In the literal sense”.

In the first round, Marine Le Pen had won 24% of women’s votes, according to an Ipsos-Stopra Steria study, behind Emmanuel Macron (29%) but ahead of Jean-Luc Mélenchon (20%), towards whom Alice Coffin, as well as other media feminists (like Caroline De Haas) had shown their support.

The activist is used to shock formulas and often considered outrageous. She had thus explained in 2018 on RT that “not having a husband rather exposes me to not being raped, not being killed, not being beaten up. And that prevents my children from being too”.

In his book The lesbian genius (Grasset), published in 2020, it indicated that it was necessary to “eliminate” men, by stopping watching films, reading books or listening to music of which they were directors, authors or composers.
