For Éric Piolle, “The humanist arc is structured around political ecology”

The EELV mayor of Grenoble Éric Piolle explained at the microphone of Europe 1, Friday February 18, that Yannick Jadot was the best placed to arrive in the second round of the presidential election and defined the three paths that the French can take for l future of France.

Relaxed, open shirt, casual jacket and big smile, the mayor of Grenoble Eric Piolle seemed confident this morning, while his candidate is credited according to our IFOP survey with 5.5% of voting intentions in the first round. But it doesn’t matter, for him, that’s for sure, that’s for sure: Yannick Jadot will be in the second round of the presidential election. As he said facing Dimitri Pavlenko: “We saw the solidity of Yannick Jadot this week, at BFM for example, he masters all the subjects. A campaign is like a basketball match: it starts slowly, everyone positions themselves and the time that counts is the end of the match, therefore the end of the campaign. »

“Macron is the president of the rich,” he says

Éric Piolle added that there was “a space for humanism” and that if we looked at past elections, “the three ecological lists in the European elections won 19% of the vote”, which, for him , proves that the French are concerned by topics related to ecology. As for the polls, the one his detractors call Piolle Pot replied that he did not attach much importance to it.

But the most interesting subject of this interview was perhaps his categorization of the political programs of each and everyone, dividing the candidates into three major projects: first “the reactionaries, therefore Le Pen, Zemmour, in which slip a part LRs, who say they are going to put borders, walls everywhere and go back to before”; then “neoliberalism with Macron, who is for social inequalities, he is the president of the rich, and on the climate he does a little bit”; finally, “the humanist arc which is structured around political ecology. It worked the first time in the municipal elections and it can still work. »

After explaining his point, Éric Piolle said that “the only one who can reach the second round is Yannick Jadot”. See you in April.
