For more stable Internet in the home office: practical function of the FritzBox can help

PC, laptop, tablet and smartphone: Consumers often connect multiple devices to the Internet at once, which is sometimes the reason for an unstable Internet connection.

Especially if you have a bandwidth-hungry desktop or laptop, concurrent video conferencing from another device can cause you to keep dropping out of meetings or lag behind video and audio transmissions.

With the update to FritzOS 7.20. You can use Device Lock to deny selected devices access to the Internet while improving your connection with just a few clicks.

Set device lock – how it works

With the device lock, you can selectively disconnect devices from the Internet.

To set up the device lock, you must use the FritzBox user interface in the menu on the “Internet” and then on “filter” walk.

All devices that are registered with your router are displayed here. If you click on “Block”, the respective no longer has Internet access. The access lock is removed again via the “Unlock” option. This function can prove to be very useful, especially if you depend on a stable connection, for example during a video call from your home office.

With the MyFritzApp you can also easily operate the device lock while on the go.
