For Sacha: was the film with Sophie Marceau and Richard Berry really shot in Israel?

Pour Sacha, a film by Alexandre Arcady with Sophie Marceau and Richard Berry, is broadcast this Friday, September 9 at 9 p.m. on France 5.

France 5 broadcasts, this Friday, September 9 at 9 p.m., the film For Sasha, directed by Alexandre Arcady in 1991 and starring Sophie Marceau in the role of Laura, a Frenchwoman who has given up everything to follow Sacha, her idealistic philosophy teacher played by Richard Berry, to Israel. For the occasion, Télé Star invites you to dive behind the scenes of this film and find out in particular whether it was actually shot in Israel.

And the answer is yes. This is in the city of Tel Aviv that Alexandre Arcady put down his cameras in the early 1990s to shoot For Sasha. This film recounts the arrival in Israel of Michel, Simon and Paul, three French students in love with Laura who therefore left France to follow Sacha. But these great reunions are marred by the Six-Day War. For Sasha is the 12th film of Sophie Marceau’s careerrevealed 10 years earlier in The party.

His biggest success is Heistwith Jean-Paul Belmondo, which recorded 2.5 million admissions to theaters in 1985.
