Henry Cavill won’t return to Netflix’s The Witcher series, but apparently, it’s not that big of a deal. The Superman actor realizes another dream of which he is very proud.
After three seasons, not always very well received by part of the Witcher community, Henry Cavill said goodbye to Geralt of Rivia. The actor decided to leave the Netflix show over creative differences. And there’s no point hoping for a surprise return in season 5. Liam Hemsworth (Hunger Games) will succeed him, and if that’s bad news for some, Cavill is coping well with it. The actor is very busy adapting another absolutely iconic license that he loves.

It’s an understatement to say that the Netflix series The Witcher has divided people. And it’s not going to get any better with the casting change. Fans may not accept Liam Hemsworth so easily, while Henry Cavill has indeed moved on. Reading The Witcher books in a comfortable armchair? Neither of the two. The actor is rather focused on the future Prime Video series Warhammer 40K which does not yet have a release date.

Superman goes all out in Prime Video’s Warhammer 40K series
We knew Henry Cavill was already a fan of The Witcher, but we discovered over time that he was addicted to Warhammer. “I spend a lot of time on my computer playing Warhammer 40K” revealed the actor in 2021 (via Première). He is passionate about the universe as a whole, including the board game with the figurines to paint. We therefore understand why he is so enthusiastic, especially since things will happen differently this time. He will obviously have the main role in the Prime Video series, but he will also be co-producer. From then on, he will benefit from a real right to review the adaptation. And he will therefore be able to ensure the fidelity of the show, unlike Netflix’s The Witcher.
