This weekend it’s that time again. Formula 1 is starting the new 2024 season. As part of this, RTL has announced that the channel will broadcast seven races on free TV in 2024 as part of a partnership with Sky. It starts on March 2nd with the opening race in Bahrain.
After the race in Bahrain, the Hungarian Grand Prix doesn’t continue until the end of July.
RTL will broadcast these Formula 1 races on free TV in 2024
- March 2 – Bahrain Grand Prix (Sakhir)
- July 21 – Hungarian Grand Prix (Budapest)
- July 28 – Belgian Grand Prix (Spa)
- August 25th – Dutch Grand Prix (Zandvoort)
- September 1st – Italian Grand Prix (Monza)
- September 15 – Azerbaijan Grand Prix (Baku)
- November 23rd – Grand Prix of Las Vegas (USA)
In addition to the seven selected races, RTL also broadcasts the qualifying or the sprint on every race weekend.
The broadcaster has also hired the team boss of the Formula 1 racing team Haas Günther Steiner as an expert for the seven races on RTL. Alongside presenter Florian König, he will cover the racing action at the season opener in Bahrain this weekend on March 1st and 2nd.
