Formula 1: the French Grand Prix broadcast unencrypted and live on C8

Mark your calendars! On Sunday July 24, 2022, the Grand Prix de France will be held, the 12th round counting for the Formula 1 world championship. On this occasion, the Canal group has decided to co-broadcast the entire race on the free channel C8 with its encrypted channel.

The 2022 F1 French Grand Prix in the clear on C8

More than a month after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, it is the turn of another Formula 1 GP to be broadcast unencrypted on the antennas of the Canal Plus group. And not just any Grand Prix!

Indeed, the Castellet circuit (French town located in the Var department, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region) will host the Grand Prix de France on July 24, which is the 12th stage of the 2022 season of the championship of the world of Formula 1. To cover the sporting event, Canal+, official broadcaster of Formula 1 in France, will allow F1 fans to follow the French GP in clear and live on the free channel C8 (in addition to the Canal+ channel). The start of the race will be given at 3 p.m., and Antoine Arlot and Loïc Duval will be in charge of the comments on the 8th channel of TNT.

In 2021, Dutch driver Max Verstappen won the race on the Castellet circuit.
