Formula 1: The sprint qualifying comes this year

In the case of two European and one non-European Grand Prix (Formula 1 has not yet announced where exactly), a sprint qualifying on Saturday will decide on the starting grid for the race on that Sunday. According to Blick information, Formula 1 fans will be able to enjoy this new mode in Silverstone, Monza and Sao Paulo.

This is how sprint qualifying works: On Friday, Hamilton and Co will use the usual qualifying format to determine the starting order for the sprint race on Saturday. This is 100 kilometers long. The winner will be on pole position on Sunday and will be awarded three World Championship points. There are also counters for the second (2) and third (1).
