Forsee Power: The batteries will make it possible to reach 120 km of autonomy for the electric tricycles of the Indian manufacturer 3ev Industries

(Boursier.com) — Forsee Powerexpert in smart battery systems for sustainable electromobility, announces that 3ev – Indian manufacturer of 3-wheel electric vehicles (Category L5) – will use battery systems from Forsee Power as standard equipment.

3ev vehicles will incorporate FORSEE GO 10, a highly modular 10.54 kWh LFP battery developed by Forsee Power to meet the highest standards.

3ev Industries has been manufacturing commercial 3-wheel electric vehicles for the Indian market since 2021, and now exports to Africa

3ev, based in Bangalore, India, produces high-performance L5 category electric vehicles for freight and passenger services (including its main Shakti and Vega models), and converts thermal 3-wheelers into electric vehicles under its e30 range.

In early June, in partnership with ETG Logistics, a division of Export Trading Group (ETG), 3ev began testing its Vega4 electric passenger vehicle in Kenya. ETG plans to be active in the field of electric mobility in African markets in order to consolidate its strong footprint on the new continent in the fertilizer, commodity, FMCG and logistics industries.

3ev chose FORSEE G0 10, a robust battery developed by the R&D teams of Forsee Power to equip light electric vehicles, from 2 to 4 wheels.

FORSEE GO 10 Battery Obtains New AIS 156 Certification in India, to Serve the World’s Largest Light Electric Vehicle Market

The GO 10 from Forsee Power is a high energy density LFP battery with a long life of more than 4,000 cycles. This battery carries 171Wh/L and 10kWh of onboard energy, is very modular and accepts continuous currents of 1C (+200A) and peak currents up to 350A. GO 10 can be coupled in parallel up to 8 batteries and in series up to 96V, all this without an external battery management system. The system sized to propel the three-wheelers of 3ev will allow a range of 120 km.

The GO 10 battery is a very robust solution suitable for the most contrasting climates. Whether the vehicles are driving in Africa, India or the Nordic countries, its integrated BMS-controlled thermal management system provides optimum performance and safety in all climate zones, down to -20oC.

Last month, the FORSEE GO 10 LFP battery solution received Indian certification AIS 156 (Amendment 3 – Phase 2). This new certification is mandatory for all light electric vehicles in India and is largely based on the R136 UNECE standard in Europe. AIS 156 certification includes the latest and most rigorous standard ensuring battery safety and reliability, including IP 67 rating for protection against water and dust, passing the propagation test thermal runaway with no indication of fire or explosion and an audible/visual warning that quickly alerts the user in the unlikely event of a thermal incident. GO 10 also complies with other strict standards such as R10, R136 and UN38.3.

Forsee Power battery systems are entirely designed by Forsee Power teams and manufactured in Europe, Asia-Pacific and soon in North America.
