The schedule of Square-Enix for the next few months is very busy, which is probably partly why the release date of Forspoken was recently postponed from October 11, 2022 to January 24, 2023. This is not the first time that a postponement of the title has been made. Be that as it may, the publisher had planned to give us some news during the summer and is keeping its promise in this week of gamescom by broadcasting a trailer of gameplay. Pose well before you press Readingbecause it lasts about 10 minutes. We’re not going to complain about that, as the previous preview of the genre dates back to March.
The story of Frey which will be transported Athia from New York is therefore narrated to us by a voice-over, showing in passing various NPCs, the main enemies of this world which are the Tantas or the only city still intact named cipal (actually, it lacks shimmering colors). It is from there that we will be sent on a quest, for example in the region of Praenostwhere we have a good overview of the possibilities of parkour magic and the use of spells. From mana can be collected by walking, in addition to that obtained by leveling up, used to unlock more powerful spells, while chests will be scattered here and there. Yes, the recipe for an open-world role-playing game is quite classic here, perhaps too much?
