There Season 1 of Chapter 4 of Fortnite coming to an end soon, but Epic Games still has some activities in store for players of its Free-to-play battle royale. Developers launch today the 23.50 update which notably adds the secret code quests to uncover the mysteries of the island and obtain cosmetics.

FORTNITE BATTLE ROYALE UPDATE 23.50: CRACK THE CODE AND COMPLETE THE SECRET CODE QUESTS!
Both normal and encrypted messages were intercepted. Those are the secret code quests. The normal messages are quite clear, but it will be up to you to unravel the mystery of the encrypted ones! Find out how to decode cipher quests before completing them. Feel free to use the six-gun and the infantry rifle which have been reintroduced for the occasion!
SECRET CODE QUESTS: INTERPRET THE ENCRYPTED MESSAGES
In the section Secret Code Quests from the Quests tab, you will see quests with clear objectives and others whose objective is…uncertain. Use the clues at your disposal to solve the mystery! Each completed encrypted quest unlocks a new one, which you can complete as soon as it becomes available. A new secret code quest is added every day until March 7, 2023, and all quests will be available until March 10, 2023.
Get EXP by completing each secret code quest. By completing a number of secret code quests, you unlock new items for your locker:
- 7 Normal Secret Code Quests: aerosol Let’s keep the peace ;
- 15 Normal Secret Code Quests: loading screen Your order is ready ;
- 24 Normal Secret Code Quests: the Unscrambled emoticon ;
- 3 encrypted secret code quests: the Glow Circuits coating.
Completing a certain Secret Code Cipher Quest will unlock theDistant Roar Aerosol.
WE DECIPHER IN THE OLD WAY
You know what’s no secret? The reintroduction of the six-shooter and the infantry rifle! These classic weapons can be found in floor loot, chests, and supply drops. Some secret code quests will require you to use them!
MISCELLANEOUS UPDATES
- The spawn rate of Knighted Chests has been increased from 70% to 100%.
- Players are more likely to stumble upon the Mechanical Archer reality buff.
- In Update 23.50, Reality Reinforcements that you haven’t unlocked yet have a higher chance of spawning.
MAJOR BUGS FIXES
- Fixed the issue that caused us to disable the Emergency Exit reality reinforcement. This reality reinforcement has been reactivated.
