A short trailer ending very abruptly was even posted online by Konami for the occasion.
In addition to that, players having farmed their Battle Pass can access the Super Level Styles for the skins of Hope, Oscar, Nisha, Montague And Valeria (poor Peter Griffin, set aside). Below you will find details of the new features communicated, including how to unlock Solid Snake. Also note that various additional characters have appeared throughout the map.

DISCRETION AND CAMOUFLAGE: THE OPTICAL CAMOUFLAGE DEVICE AND THE CARDBOARD BOX
An electronic device that makes its user virtually invisible for a short period of time. Master discretion with the optical camouflage device. This item has a cooldown but can be used an unlimited number of times to help you with your infiltration strategies! You cannot attack while the optical cloaking device is active, but you can deactivate it by dropping it, changing equipped items, or manually deactivating it.
Disabling the item triggers an electromagnetic pulse that damages enemy shields and immobilizes nearby vehicles! Optical Cloaking Devices are found in floor loot and chests. You can also buy them from Solid Snake for ingots.
Many boxes of citrus fruits were found in a Ship it! warehouse. Express. They are now scattered across the island and could be used by a possible special forces agent to camouflage themselves… Hide under a cardboard box to blend into the environment! You can even move around without leaving it. Cardboard boxes are found in floor loot and chests. You can also buy them from Solid Snake for ingots.

- Hide in a cardboard box for 10 seconds – Make sure they don’t see you. Unlocks the Spy on the Prowl loading screen.
- Deal 250 damage to opponents within 10m – Try to remember your close combat techniques. Unlocks the Stun Knife pickaxe.
- Deal 50 damage to opponents with explosives – The sound of explosives can alert your enemies, so be careful. Unlocks the Solid Aerosol in profile.
- Deal 500 damage to opponents with Assault Rifles – I don’t like wasting balls. Unlock the emote!.
- Destroy 2 surveillance cameras or turrets – A surveillance camera? Unlocks a banner icon.

- Use the optical cloaking device 3 times – Objective: stay alive. Unlocks the Metal Gear Mk. II back accessory.
- Use a hiding place in 5 games – You can never be too trained for infiltration. Unlocks the Hidden? emoticon.
- Participate in opening 3 vaults or hacking 3 chests during a train heist – No system can resist you! Unlocks the Slider glider.
- Deal damage to 10 opponents before they damage you – You’re not bad. Unlocks the Snake Colors skin.

OTHER NEW FEATURES IN UPDATE 28.10: THE ANVIL MISSILE LAUNCHER IS BACK
A TrailSmasher is chasing you? A sports car escapes you? Change the tide of combat with the reintroduced Anvil Missile Launcher! Lock on to the target vehicle and fire a rocket in its direction. It’s going to shake. The Anvil Missile Launcher can be found in floor loot and chests. You can also buy them from Shadow Mecha for ingots.
BIG BANG BATTLE PASS SUPER LEVEL STYLES
Do you want to give even more style to the Order? Do you prefer Hope? With update 28.10, Super Tier Styles have been added to Big Bang Battle Pass bonus rewards ! Get over level 150 to start unlocking expressionist, colorist and mosaicist styles Oscar, Nisha, Montaigu, Valéria and Hope outfits.
BALANCE CHANGES
We’ve carefully monitored Battle Royale gameplay data and listened to community feedback and agree that balance adjustments are necessary. Here is the list of patch 28.10 balance changes:
- The Executioner assault rifle’s bullet speed, damage, and headshot damage have been slightly increased. Ball height loss in flight has also been reduced. This assault rifle was no match for the other weapons available and needed a little help.
- Reaper sniper rifle bullet speed has been slightly reduced and the ball’s height loss in flight was increased, as we found the Reaper to be a little too easy to use and difficult to counter.
- The general accuracy of the Hyper submachine gun has been increased by reducing bullet dispersion. Like the Executioner assault rifle, this submachine gun needed a little help to keep up with the other options.
- The damage required to stagger a player wearing a ballistic shield has been slightly reduced. This gear was often too powerful compared to others, especially in Zero Build.
- Storm Circle Speed, Sprint Speed, and Energy Regeneration have been changed to match the values used during Chapter 4. These old values better match the ideal pace of the current Battle Royale mode.
We will continue to monitor data and listen to community feedback to make further adjustments if necessary.
NOTES ON COMPETITIVE MODES
- The Optical Cloaking Device, Cardboard Box, and Anvil Missile Launcher are not available during tournaments.

MAJOR BUGS FIXES
- Fixed an issue that would sometimes randomly eliminate players when walking on the edge of cliffs in Snooty Steppes.
- Fixed an issue that caused the crosshair to move in the wrong direction when a player used the sights of a sniper rifle while sliding.
- Fixed an issue that caused the player to face the wrong direction when using the same emote as another nearby player.
