Unfortunately, the first-person perspective is not part of the Battle Royal. The first-person perspective shown is only planned as a feature for “Unreal Editor for Fortnite” (UEFN). With UEFN, games and content for Fortnite can be planned, developed and published, which can then be used by other players.
Release date for the ego feature
Only “later this year” was mentioned as an approximate indication of the release period, but at timestamp 1:06:11 a timeline can be seen in the background, which suggests that the first-person perspective is planned for quarter 4 of this year.
Accordingly, you should expect the feature to be released towards the end of the year. As the timeline shows, the Lego update will appear first, which is responsible for the current disruption in Fortnite.
