Founded by Firaxis Games alumni, Bit Reactor wants to write the future of turn-based tactical gaming

Because Greg Foertsch obviously came with other former Firaxis Games, more particularly regulars of the XCOM franchise, in order to bring new ideas to the genre of turn-based tactics. A family of games too neglected, to the taste of the founders of the studio. “While all genres have been able to show something new in this new generation of technology, one thing is clear: turn-based tactics games have been largely overlooked and have enormous potential for innovation. We have a very team-oriented culture and have assembled an incredible group of talented, experienced and dedicated developers to inject rich storytelling, immersive presentation and solid gameplay mechanics to give this genre its rightful hour to shine. – a golden age of turn-based games is upon us“, comments Greg Foertsch, co-founder and CEO of Bit Reactor.

Ambitions displayed just as ostensibly in an interview published by Games Industry, where this same Greg Foertsch explains that he is aiming for the GOTY, nothing less. The veteran relies on XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which won several Game of the Year titles in the press in 2012. To achieve its ambitions, Bit Reactor intends to recruit talent both locally and remotely, even if no offer is currently available on the studio’s website.
