Fountaine Pajot: Half-year EBITDA down, inflation weighs – 06/23/2022 at 10:42


(CercleFinance.com) – Fountaine Pajot reported on Thursday a lower gross operating surplus for its first quarter, penalized by the rise in commodity prices and supply difficulties linked to the inflationary environment current.

The pleasure boat manufacturer announced this morning that its EBITDA stood at 12.9 million euros in the first half of 2021/22, which ended at the end of February, against 13.2 million a year earlier.

The group share of net profit nevertheless shows a strong improvement, at 5.7 million euros against +536,000 euros a year earlier, due to the disappearance of exceptional items, without cash effect, which had impacted the net result of the first semester 2020/21.

Its turnover totals 90.6 million euros, an increase of 7% over one year, driven by the latest launches, both in the catamaran and monohull segments.

In its press release, Fountaine Pajot assures that its commercial dynamics and the high visibility of its order book enable it to anticipate a growth in sales of 10% over the financial year which should close at the end of August, in particular under the impetus of its new models.

The company also says it plans to recruit more than 100 new employees throughout the year.

At 9:50 am, the title yielded 1%, slightly underperforming a Parisian market down 0.8%.
