The New Zealand police posted an incident on Facebook that was “too cute not to share”. The emergency center received a call from a boy (4).
The little one didn’t call because something bad had happened. He wanted the officers to come and see his toys. The police made the recording of the phone call public.
“The police are here. What is your emergency? ”Asks a policewoman. After a short break, a child’s voice answers. “Hello. Police lady? ” Yes, the police are here, what is going on? Asked the officer in a friendly manner. “Um, can I tell you something?” Asks the four-year-old.
Officer offers patrol
And then he reveals the reason for his call. “I have some toys for you,” says the boy. The policewoman reacts slightly astonished and asks: “You have toys for me?” “Yes, come here and have a look,” says the boy. The conversation is finally interrupted by the four-year-old’s father. He apologizes that the mother is sick and that he should have taken care of the other child.
After the call, the woman at the headquarters asked the patrols by radio whether someone would be nearby to visit the child. “We have a four-year-old here who wants to show the police his toys. Over. ” An officer answers and says he will stop by.
“He had really cool toys”
And so the four-year-old was allowed to proudly show his toy to a police officer. “He had really cool toys,” the policeman said later. The lucky guy was also able to look at the patrol car and the officer even turned on the siren lights for him.
But it got a little more serious. Because the policeman also had a “good, informative conversation” with the boy about the correct use of the police emergency number. (oco)
