PARIS (Reuters) – The National Rally comes well ahead of voting intentions in France for the next European elections, with 28.5% of intentions expressed, according to an Elabe poll for BFM TV and La Tribune Dimanche published on Saturday.

During the last European election in May 2019, the far right had already come first in France (23.3%), but this time just ahead of the presidential party La Répulique en Marche (22.4%) while Europe Ecology The Greens were third (13.5%).

According to the latest poll carried out five months before the June election, the list led by Jordan Bardella would widen the gap with the list of Renaissance (ex-LREM), MoDem and Horizons, which garners 18% of voting intentions. , followed by that of the Socialist Party and Place publique, led by Raphaël Glucksmann (9.5%) and that of EELV led by Marie Toussaint (8.5%).
