France: Inflation confirmed at 4.9% in September

PARIS (Reuters) – Inflation in France stood at 4.9% in September year-on-year, INSEE announced on Friday, a figure in line with its first estimate and stable compared to August.

Over one month, the consumer price index fell by 0.5%, INSEE also confirmed.

The consumer price index harmonized according to European HICP standards, which allows comparisons with other countries in the euro zone, was up 5.7% year-on-year in September, after 5.6% in the first estimate and 5.7% in August.
