France: New car registrations down 1.47% in March, according to the PFA

(Reuters) – Registrations of new cars in France fell by 1.47% in March at an annual rate, according to data communicated on Monday by the Automobile Platform (PFA).

180,024 private vehicles were registered in France last month, the PFA reported. March had 21 working days this year, compared to 23 last year.

Over the first three months of the year, the market recorded an increase of 5.71% year-on-year, with 444,903 registrations.

Registrations of new cars from the Stellantis group, which includes the Peugeot, Citroën, DS and Opel brands, fell last month by 8.78% compared to a year earlier.
