France-New car registrations down 15.14% year-on-year in December-PFA – 01/01/2022 at 4:03 pm


PARIS, January 1 (Reuters) – New vehicle registrations in France fell 15.14% in December compared to the same period in 2020, according to data released on Saturday by the Automotive Platform (PFA).

The number of passenger car registrations stood at 158,121 last month.

For the whole of 2021, new vehicle sales posted a small increase of 0.54% year on year.

New car registrations of the Stellantis group

STLA.PA STLA.MI fell last month by 13.73% compared to December 2020 and by 3.68% over one year.

The Renault RENA.PA group saw its registrations in France decline by 11.97% in December and 4.07% year-on-year.
