The crisis of stress corrosion of certain EDF nuclear reactors is still present and will be until the end of 2025, declared Thursday the director of nuclear and thermal production of the French energy company, Cédric Lewandowski , while adding that the current 56 reactors had the capacity to operate for up to 60 years.
The corrosion detected on 900 MW reactors is of lesser importance than on more powerful reactors, he also indicated to journalists.
