With a view of the Seine and the river island La Grande Jatte, as well as the inviting gateway, the «Les bords de Seine» retirement home in the posh Parisian suburb of Neuilly-sur-Seine looks like a luxury hotel. At 6,500 euros per month for a single room and up to 12,000 euros for a suite, staying there is far more expensive than in other homes. For a long time, “Les bords de Seine” was the flagship of Orpea, a company specializing in care for the elderly. This operates 226 retirement and nursing homes in France alone and is the world leader in the sector.
