(CercleFinance.com) – According to CVS-CJO data from the Ministry of Housing, housing starts in France increased 0.6% over the period from September to November 2021, compared to the previous three months.

The administration specifies, however, that during this period, it is estimated that housing starts were higher (+ 4.3%) than their average for the twelve months preceding the first confinement (March 2019 to February 2020).

Also from September to November 2021, authorized dwellings fell by 1% compared to the three previous months, but their number was 2.4% higher than their average for the twelve months preceding the health crisis.

During the last twelve months, from December 2020 to November 2021, 470,000 housing units have been authorized for construction, i.e. 17.5% more than in the previous twelve months. At the same time, it is estimated that 391,800 housing units have been started.
