PARIS, April 27 (Reuters) – Operators Bouygues Telecom, Orange, SFR, Free and the French Telecoms Federation strongly condemned the acts of vandalism committed on Wednesday on their fiber optic networks on national territory.
If the connections are restored in the affected areas, they indicated in a press release relayed by the FFTélécoms, the repair work on the cables is nevertheless very heavy and is still continuing.
Breaks in fiber optic links disrupted telecommunications services in several regions, including Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Grand-Est and Ile-de-France.
