PARIS, April 5 (Reuters) – The Council of State on Tuesday overturned the decision of telecoms regulator Arcep to allocate two frequency bands to Starlink to link its French satellites and users. .

Starlink is the satellite internet service launched by billionaire Elon Musk, founder of Tesla.

“The contested decision by Arcep, the purpose of which is to authorize the company Starlink Internet Services Limited to use radio frequencies (..), is likely to have a significant impact on the market for the provision of access to broadband internet and affect the interests of end-users,” the decision reads.
