This Thursday, François Cluzet was received by the team of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine in C à Vous to promote his latest film, La brigade. Judging by the revelations of the actor, the filming of the latter was not easy.
François Cluzet will be back in theaters on March 23 with the film La brigade, directed by Louis-Julien Petit. Invited alongside the director and Yannick Kalombo, a young actor in the film, the actor assured that he had experienced a “dream shoot”, even if it was marked by several accidents. “The crutch on which you lean throughout the film, it comes from the first day of filming, from a football match that you play with the kids”, says Patrick Cohen to François Cluzet. “After 10 minutes, click, rupture of the Achilles tendon“. The actor explains that he skipped the warm-up box, since his character is not supposed to play football in the scene, before finally improvising a few passes … which he paid for. “We went to a physio, he said ‘Achilles tendon cut, he felt it’says François Cluzet before adding: “He told us: ‘Go to this hospital, but above all, if they want to operate on you, don’t do it there!’“An anecdote that caused hilarity on the set.
François Cluzet: the shooting of his last film hit by disasters
And the Caesarized actor is not the only one in the film to have had a glitch. As Louis-Julien Petit tells, Audrey Lamy fell in a kitchen the next day, before ending up with phlebitis. On the fourth day, it is the director who discovers, bitterly, that four hours of recordings have been erased. “You have to call back the extras, but they are not ready, so you have to ask the extras’ understudy…”explains Louis-Julien Petit before listing the other filming problems involving in particular “a tornado”, “flooded sets”, “a suspected case of meningitis“, “three Covid cases” and a sound failure. Sacred record!
