Breathing her last this Tuesday, June 11, at the age of 80, Françoise Hardy left her large home in Monticello to Jacques Dutronc. But before the singer took up residence in the villa, it belonged to the icon of the yéyé years. Coming on vacation to this small village nestled above Île Rousse with her ex, Jean-Marie Périer, Françoise Hardy decided to buy land there in 1966 to build a house. Shortly after, she met the father of her future child and introduced him to the region. Jacques Dutronc falls in love not only with the singer, but also with Corsica.
The couple settled in Monticello, got married in this large residence and allowed their love to grow as well as their son, Thomas Dutronc, born in 1973. But within the Hardy-Dutronc family villa, there is not only moments of happiness. In the late 1980s, the couple separated, but did not divorce. The singer decides to return to Paris and leaves her house to Jacques Dutronc. The latter now lives in the beautiful legacy of the woman he married in 1981, with his new partner Sylvie Duval, whom he met on the set of Place Vendôme. In recent years, his son Thomas joined him by settling in Lumio, a village neighboring Monticello. A little haven of peace in which father and son will be able to remember the good times spent with Françoise Hardy.

Thomas Dutronc upset on stage after the death of his mother
This Thursday, June 13, two days after the death of Françoise Hardy, Thomas Dutronc returned to the stage at the Jazz Opale Festival. A difficult moment for the singer’s son, during which he had difficulty hiding his emotion. “There is a lot of emotion among us” in recent days, he told the public, according to Nice morning. “I tried to sing two of my mom’s songs, but my throat is tight”. Faced with an overflow of emotions, Thomas Dutronc preferred to let his musicians perform the title Friendship, Françoise Hardy’s flagship song.
