Frederick Lau is said to have spat on a Munich functionary at the Dortmund-Bayern game. “That’s what you call a beer shower,” says the star.

Wet and happy or overflowing with anger? The main stand of the Dortmund stadium is said to have become uncomfortable during the Bundesliga match between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich on Saturday. Actor Frederick Lau (32) is said to have spat on a Munich coach assistant in a Bayern dress after the final whistle, according to the allegation, about which the “Bild” newspaper reports.

Frederick Lau: “But I didn’t spit”

The award-winning Berlin actor Frederick Lau has now personally commented on this in several Instagram stories. “That’s what you call a beer shower – and not spitting. I always thought”, is to be read.

He also explains: “In such a top game it sometimes goes a bit haywire. But I didn’t spit. It could be that a little drink got stuck in his neck. That might be. But I didn’t spit.”

It continues: “Anyone who wants to tell me that they have never had a beer in the stadium should please continue to use the Allianz Arena only [Münchner Stadion, Red.] visit and not come to us in Dortmund! Good night.”

The game ended 3-2 for the Munich club.
