When he saw Annika on TV, the star knew: “I’ll marry her!”

They have been married for eight years, have three children together and are still in love. Actor Frederick Lau and “GALA TV” presenter Annika Lau have not lost sight of each other. It was he who first set his eyes on his loved one. Cupid’s arrow hit him on set – and colleague Elyas M’Barek looked on in amazement.
His actor friend was the first to find out: “I always thought my wife was great. I sat with her Elyas M’Barek in the trailer. We were filming ‘The Wave’ there. (…) The breakfast TV with my wife was on and I said to Elyas: ‘I’ll marry her.’ And that’s how I did it.” Anyone who listens to Frederick Lau, 34, can vividly imagine the scenery that he describes with his boyish enthusiasm in the “Sky Sport” format “My Story.” The award-winning actor has his wish in love presenter Annika Lau, 44, has been his wife since 2015. The two of them didn’t stay together for long: their three children, Liselotte, Baz Barne and Bruno Charles, are the icing on the cake for the romance that continues to this day.
Frederick Lau: “She still likes to kiss me”
In the winter of 2013, fate played Frederick’s way. While filming a music video for rapper B-Tight, 43, his dream woman suddenly came face to face with him. “Then I got to meet her at some point and was totally blown away and somehow managed to convince her of me,” laughs the movie star.

Memories in which he reveled in April 2023 with his sweetheart in the RTL studio: “I still remember what it was like. Beautiful,” he enthused at the time in an interview with the “GALA TV” host. “That’s when we kissed for the first time. Do you remember what I wrote to you before we met for this shoot?” Annika asked her lover at the time. “So you asked me how to do it. How to kiss on TV or in the movies. And then I answered: You just kiss. And it was a lie,” the 34-year-old laughed. In private, the intimate lip service is apparently still simple today: “She still likes to kiss me,” assures Frederick.
“I am the one who keeps getting better”
Annika probably doesn’t always feel like it, if her husband is to be believed: “It’s not easy with me sometimes either. I told her: ‘You know what, Annika, imagine if you had a husband who “I’m always top-notch right from the start. Or do you want someone who keeps getting better? I’m the one who keeps getting better. That’s my claim.” Apparently the Munich woman was convinced.
