The highlight: the app uses the sensors of your iOS device to measure the light intensity.

Despite rather little care, my group of houseplants has been living and thriving for many years. And that despite the fact that I have moved frequently and the flowers have to get used to different lighting situations. My favorite flower – in a way the only constant in my life since I moved out at the age of 20 – has found a new splendor thanks to a new location. The reason: the light!

My beautiful bonsai finally stood in a light-flooded room and suddenly formed a lot of new leaves. And why that is so, I can finally find out with “Light intensity for indoor plants”. The app asks you to position your iPhone or iPad near the flower. The application then checks whether the light is actually what is optimal for the respective plant.

Is it worth downloading “Light intensity for indoor plants”?

If you have a real flower at home, it’s worth the download! Because the app is free and even if your flowers are already in the perfect light, checking it doesn’t hurt. By the way, like in photography, “good light” doesn’t always mean a lot of light. Because there are also flowers that prefer to be in the shade.
