The operator Free launched, on Thursday, a website which allows, free of charge, to review the goals and summaries of Ligue 1 matches.

Since the start of the 2020/2021 season, and until 2024, Free has held one of the Professional Football League (LFP) packages allowing it to broadcast, almost live, the goals, saves and best moments of Ligue 1 matches, all via its Free Ligue 1 Uber Eats mobile app. The operator goes further and democratizes its tool a little more, by offering a dedicated website, a variation of the application.

A website adapted to all media

It is with a view to offering as many people as possible access to Ligue 1 images that Free is launching this website, which will allow all lovers of the French championship to find all the goals and summaries. matches.

Obviously, the site gives pride of place to the original mobile application, of which we find the Play Store and App Store links as well as the download QR code directly at the top of the home page, then a little further down. But it is above all the declination of the application and turns out to be ” responsive design “, that is to say that it can be consulted on all media, therefore from a smartphone, a tablet or a computer.

We do not know today the real number of users of the Free Ligue 1 Uber Eats application, but the Play Store announces, for example, a number of installations greater than 500,000. There is therefore no doubt that the version of the application in website will help Free to further democratize its service.

Match summaries available on the site 15 minutes after the final whistle

The free-ligue1.fr site therefore offers its visitors summaries of the matches, ” for free and 15 minutes after the matches “Promises Free. The goals, as on the app, will be visible in a near-direct situation. During our visit to the site this Thursday, the summaries of the last day of Ligue 1 to date, the 22and, played last weekend. The summary of the last OL-OM (late match of the 14and day replayed behind closed doors on Tuesday) is also already available.

Free is currently the only player capable of offering football fans this content in the form of almost live video extracts. Freebox subscribers have access to it via channel 63. For Free subscribers (therefore Freebox and Free mobile plans and Free Series), the almost live video stream is already included.

Football fans subscribed to another mobile operator can access extracts almost live for 3.99 euros per month, for a premium version of the application. But let’s make it clear: the goals and summaries remain freely accessible.
