In order to attract customers and visitors, Free is developing a concept of stores based on games, friendly and stimulating. Two are already installed in the Paris region.
To reinvent the link between subscribers, potential customers and physical stores, Free, 235 stores in the region, has decided to offer a new and very intriguing experience. The operator has just opened a concept store, called “Free To Play”, in the heart of the Westfield Carré Sénart shopping center, in Seine-et-Marne. As its name suggests, it is based on gaming. Clubic presents it to you.
Now two Free concept stores open in France
Free wanted to offer a new in-store sales and advice experience for its subscribers and visitors. After opening a first concept store near Station F (Xavier Niel’s start-up incubator) in Paris in May 2023, under the name “Big Bang Store”, the operator decided to open a new store in Lieusaint’s Westfield.
On an area of 88 m², those who enter the store will recognize, without even being keen players, most of the codes of gaming, with a visual identity making it easy to identify the Free brand.
The idea of the place: “ allow you to play, browse and share online with the world », the operator tells us. At the heart of the store, we find a central island, the centerpiece of the latter. Here, Free displays smartphones from the biggest brands, while above, giant screens broadcast content that highlights, through the prism of gaming, the latest Freebox Ultra.
Discover the Freeboxes in an armchair, and have fun with “made in Free” video games
A Freebox zone also highlights each of the devices sold by the operator. Calmly installed on an armchair, remote control and/or smartphone in hand, you can test the Freebox Ultra and Pop.
All around, we always find Free terminals (the famous Simboxes) which allow, with the help of an advisor or not, to make quick purchases, for a SIM card for example, to pay a bill, to subscribe to an offer, package or subscription and others.
The game is never far away in this store, whether while waiting at reception, where you can try your hand at games developed by Lab 42, or on the games bench, where your skill and speed will be put to the test, with “the common thread”, “Free to connect” and “the Free PIN code”. Yes, Free remains a troublemaker, even in stores!
