iPhone 16 and 16 Pro: an image reveals some design changes

The iPhone 16 continues to make headlines, and more specifically about their design. An image shared by leaker Sonny Dickson has indeed highlighted the back of future Apple phones. The opportunity to confirm two notable developments for this generation: the form factor and the photo module.

We thus discover that the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are more imposing than the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. For good reason, rumors lean towards 6.9-inch and 6.3-inch screens for the new Pro versions.

As a result, the iPhone 16 would look like the Dalton, with four different panel sizes:

  • 6.1 inches for iPhone 16;
  • 6.3 inches for iPhone 16 Pro;
  • 6.7 inches for iPhone 16 Plus;
  • 6.9 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

According to previous information leaks, the 6.3-inch format of the iPhone 16 Pro would bring an exclusive new feature to the iPhone 15 Pro Max: 5x optical zoom.

The second change highlighted by this image is the new photo module of the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. The photo modules are no longer arranged diagonally, but vertically.

According to rumors, this new layout was chosen by Apple to allow users to film spatial videos for the Vision Pro.

Note, two other design elements, not revealed by this image, have already been talked about in recent months:

  • The introduction of a new Capture button to film, zoom or focus;
  • The addition of the Action button from the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro to the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus.
