Freelance.com declines: the third quarter disappoints – 11/21/2023 at 09:58

(AOF) – Freelance.com fell 4.19% to 3.43 euros after revealing a greater slowdown than expected in the third quarter. The specialist in the relationship between companies and their external talents revealed stable turnover at 198.6 million euros after growth of 5% in the second quarter and 15% in the first quarter.

In France, Freelance.com achieved consolidated turnover of 132.6 million euros in the third quarter, organic growth of 5%, with the integration from September 1, 2023 of the OpenWork group for an amount of 5.5 million euros. “The France scope is experiencing a drop in customer demands in the majority of business sectors, in a still uncertain macroeconomic context,” explained the company.

Internationally, Freelance.com achieved consolidated turnover of 66 million euros in the third quarter, down 9%. Freelance.com calls into question “a 2022 comparable less favorable than in the first half linked to the sharp depreciation of the euro compared to the Swiss franc during the third quarter of 2022”.

The group specifies that the drop in the number of consultants observed at the start of the year has been interrupted with a gradual increase since May 2023. If it is not yet reflected in turnover, Freelance.com is considering a resumption of growth over the year 2024.

After the integration of OpenWork on September 1, 2023, Freelance.com announced on October 23, 2023 the proposed acquisition of the STA group, with integration planned for January 2024.

“These two operations allow us to strengthen our positioning in the freelancing market, and to return for the year 2024 to a level of consolidated growth more in line with the group’s expectations,” Freelance.com said about its prospects.

A new entity in employee benefits

Pluxee, the division specializing in employee benefits of the services giant Sodexo, will take off on the stock market in 2024. This activity benefits from strong dynamism with organic growth in the third quarter (ended at the end of May) higher than expectations (+25 .5% versus 17.5% expected). The new entity will thus be able to better compete with its competitor Edenred. Since its split from the Accor group in 2010, this company has seen its activity jump and almost double. Having become the world leader in meal vouchers, it even recently joined the flagship stock market index of the Paris market, the CAC 40. This success comes from targeted acquisitions, international development and successful digitalization.
