Friedrich Merz: Politicians are suffering from "somewhat stronger" symptoms

"A corona test performed on Sunday is positive," writes Friedrich Merz (64) Tuesday afternoon on Twitter. The CDU politician speaks of "mild to moderate symptoms". A day later, his health seems to have deteriorated.

Merz, who is the successor to Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer (57) for the CDU chairmanship, lamented the quarantine on day four "somewhat stronger" flu symptoms. He would stay home until the end of next week and recover. He also remains "confident and thanks to everyone who is committed to keeping our healthcare system up and running".
