The Berlin company AVM not only manufactures routers, but also develops various free apps with which users can conveniently use FritzBox functions on their smartphones. AVM’s mobile applications include the “FritzApp Fon”: With it, the mobile phone is transformed into a landline telephone. An update is now available for the iOS version of the app. In addition to minor improvements, it contains several new functions. Phone numbers that have not been saved can now be blocked and unblocked in the call list. The call list now also shows fax messages. In addition, support data from the FritzBox can be sent via “FritzApp Fon” – provided the router is running FritzOS 7.25 or higher.
