A third of all those eligible for vaccination in Vorarlberg have already received their first corona vaccination, and 19,500 more vaccine doses will be administered these weeks from Thursday. The vaccines from Pfizer and Astra Zeneca are used.
With a view to the rapid progress in vaccination in all parts of the country, the responsible state health councilor Martina Rüscher renews her appeal to the Vorarlberg population who are ready to be vaccinated to register on the online portal for a free vaccination: “If you make a note of the vaccination now, you will soon receive a specific vaccination date ! ”More than 19,500 people were invited to the upcoming vaccination round, which starts on Thursday morning and lasts until Monday evening, Rüscher informs.
Five vaccination routes
The vaccination round is dominated by first vaccinations, reports the regional councilor. Over 16,000 protective boxes are provided for this. In addition, there are around 3500 doses that are administered as a second vaccination. A total of five vaccination lines will be set up – in Dornbirn and Bregenz, Nenzing, Hirschegg and Bezau. The coronavirus vaccines from AstraZeneca and BioNTech / Pfizer are used. Those over 50 years of age (in descending order of age) as well as occupational groups defined in phase 2 or 3 are immunized.
