DECRYPTION – After a night of negotiations, the moderate unions CFDT and CFE-CGC representing 56.55% of employees, adopted an agreement on a 7% increase in payroll.
It took more than seven hours of negotiations at the Paris headquarters of TotalEnergies to reach a compromise between the group’s management and the moderate unions, CFDT and CFE-CGC, which account for 56.55% of union representation. Around 3:40 a.m., the CFDT coordinator said he was giving “a favorable opinion on the measures that are on the table”. Some nine hours later, the members ratified the agreement, with those of the CFE-CGC.
Arrived at the negotiating table with a proposal for salary increases of 6% in 2023, the management of TotalEnergies has gradually raised the cursor: first to 6.5%, then to 7%, a proportion which has finished convincing the CFDT and CFE-CGC negotiators.
