Faced with soaring fuel prices, Medicare is implementing an exceptional financial increase to support health professionals who have to travel to provide care to patients at home. Thus, in addition to the discount at the pump of 18 euro cents per liter granted by the government, the Health Insurance has decided to revalue, since Monday, the travel allowances and the mileage allowances of contracted health professionals. to achieve an aid equivalent to 0.15 euro per litre.
The measure applies to all contracted health professionals (nurses, physiotherapists, doctors, midwives, speech therapists, podiatrists/podiatrists, laboratory staff, orthoptists and dentists) and extends over the same period as that of the government, i.e. until July 31, a priori.
