South Korea and the USA have been looking for him since the collapse of their blockchain Terra Luna in May 2022. At that time, 60 billion US dollars were destroyed in a few days. The accusations range widely: from fraud, insider trading to illegal securities trading. But so far, Terra founder Do Kwon has hardly commented on the allegations against him. He regularly speaks up on Twitter for this, with real shit posts.
“I’m not on the run.”

Law enforcement agencies see it differently. To this day no one knows where Do Kwon is staying.
In a video interview of the “Unchained” podcast with Laura Shin, the Terra founder is now at least a little guilty. The shit posts on Twitter? Be “embarrassed” for him today.
“The worst thing about the current situation is being responsible for such an astronomical loss,” Kwon said. He tells the victims: “I’m sorry.”

Do Kwon also answers the question of why he does not reveal his whereabouts when he is “not on the run”. “When the crash happened in May, I got a lot of threats. People broke into my apartment. I’m not sure if my location is known.”
