Dave Coulier makes his alcohol problems public. On Instagram he explains that he is an alcoholic but has been sober for two years.

Open words from the “Full House” star Dave Coulier (62). In an Instagram post the actor and comedian confesses his alcohol addiction: “I’m a drunkard, yes, an alcoholic.” But he has been dry since January 1, 2020. He previously loved drinking, but alcohol didn’t love him back. That’s why it was better for him and those around him to stop.

“I decided to make a choice for my own well-being, for my family and for those around me who I love so dearly,” Coulier continues. The withdrawal was a great challenge for him both mentally and physically. However, his wife and friends, who were also addicted to alcohol, supported him.

Big declaration of love to his wife

For his outing, he also posted a picture showing him with a bloody face. Accordingly, he fell drunk on a stone staircase and felt bad for days after the accident. When he drank, he could make people laugh at parties until they fell over. He was always the last one to have a beer with his friends. But that’s the end of it now and his life is now “incredible”.

“The skies are bluer, my heart isn’t closed anymore, and I’m enjoying making people laugh ’til they drop more than ever,” Coulier said. Finally, he addressed his wife with loving words: “Thank you Melissa for being by my side, I love you.”

Coulier played comedian Joey Gladstone on the cult sitcom Full House (1987-1995). He slipped back into this role for the new edition of “Fuller House”.
