We are at the end of June 2023 and therefore it is time to discover the new free games that are available through Amazon Prime Gaming. There are very heavy including a cult RPG.
If there is an advantage to being a PC player for a few years, it is indeed for the price of the games and the many offers that allow you to recover free games legally. Indeed, in addition to the traditional Steam offers, we have for some time now also been able to take advantage of free games to be collected from the Epic Games Store, GOG but also of course Amazon Prime Gaming, of which here is the last salvo of games from June 2023. A real deluge when we know in particular that Prey is available for free since June 20 and that it is already a very nice gift.
A massive, completely free-to-play RPG
To celebrate Prime Day on July 11, Amazon Prime members can enjoy great deals every week until the event begins. For the record, Prime Day was launched for the first time in 2015 by Amazon and it allows you to take advantage of big offers and discounts. For this end of June 2023 it’s party time since Amazon Prime members can recover for free Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition and in-game content for Diablo IV. It’s quite simple BG2 is considered by many to be one of the best Western RPGs, just that. Baldur’s Gate 2 was originally released in 2000 and was developed by BioWare and the version Enhanced Edition is an improved version of it. It is overall a remastered and updated version of the original game, which includes graphical improvements, additional features and new content. BG2 is considered a cult game for many reasons, in particular thanks to its great freedom and the many choices offered to players, which was not necessarily very common in 2000. It must also be admitted that the BioWare title has was a pioneer in the genre of western role-playing games. It established many game elements and mechanics that influenced many later games. Its success also helped popularize computer role-playing games and left an indelible mark on the history of the genre. Without any dispute. It would therefore be a pity to pray for it, especially since it is entirely free.
June 22 games on Amazon Prime Gaming were already huge
Since June 22 we can already recover other games including another cult RPG (admittedly a little less than BG2) namely Neverwinter Nights. Here is the rest of the full list:
- Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition [Amazon Games App] : role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons, it is also another monument of the Western RPG even if necessarily a little less striking than BG2 because 2 years later. Still, it’s a huge game with easily 100 hours of gameplay.
- Autonauts [Amazon Games App] : nothing to see here because it’s a sandbox game. The goal is to colonize uninhabited planets by exploiting a whole bunch of natural resources to build an empire of robots. It’s a bit like the ultimate dream of space capitalism.
- Revita [Amazon Games App] : we change tone again with a roguelite in twin stick which is very appreciated. You must harvest souls to increase your power and defeat bosses.
The Last Games of June (June 29)
Finally the ultimate salvo of free titles for the month of June 2023, namely:
- Roguebook [Amazon Games App] : a great roguelike (still) rated 9/10 on Steam. The strong point is that it is co-designed with Richard Garfield, the author of Magic: The Gathering
- Once Upon a Jester [Amazon Games App] : a game that takes a bit of the aesthetics of children’s theater and in which two friends must steal a royal diamond. It’s adventure and it’s for everyone, even children.
- Gems of Destiny: Homeless Dwarf [Legacy Games Code] : a game with a clearly mobile aesthetic that allows you to rack your brains to solve puzzles
