Kimera EVO38: There’s something else going on
When the Italian retro manufacturer Kimera presented the Resto-Mod EVO37 three years ago, it wasn’t just rally fans who were ecstatic. Because in addition to the spectacular shapes in the spirit of the Lancia 037 from the 1980s, there were driving performances that still make your heart race today. Although the net price of around 480,000 euros was a healing antidote, many fans were not deterred by it. And now the Italians are upping the ante again – with a few design retouches, the EVO37 becomes the EVO38 and, above all, there is a technical update. Instead of rear-wheel drive, there is now all-wheel drive, and with a new charger the four-cylinder engine increases by 20 percent to 600 hp, which at barely more than 1,100 kilos should have an easy time. It goes without saying that the price will also rise and will probably climb well over 500,000 euros. But that will hardly scare anyone.
