While DDR5 RAM
remains very difficult to access, G.Skill is embarking on improving its latency times.

Our first tests of DDR5 modules have made it possible to underline how much the new generation is capable of higher speeds than DDR4. However, they also showed that the timings current ones imply a much higher latency.

Increasingly low latency?

Very active since the arrival on the market of the first DDR5 kits, G.Skill has decided to take the bull by the horns with a new range of Trident Z5 presented as ” low latency at low latency.

Of course, we stay far from DDR4, but these new bars are indeed certified for timings of 32-39-39-102 while it is DDR5-6400. There is no question yet of tests to measure the gains to be expected from such timings.

G.Skill presents two variants of these new memories, in RGB version or without RGB. In both cases, these are 2x 16 GB kits for a total of 32 GB operating with a voltage of 1.40 V. Of course, there is talk of a lifetime warranty, but no prices yet.
